Hello,

 

Greetings !!!

 

Switching the section type from "General" to "Merged" or vice-versa is not feasible once students are enrolled in it.

 

As an alternative, you can follow the instructions below to create new sections with the desired section type and then transfer the enrolled students.

 

To change the section type from "General" to "Merged":

  • Create a new merged section for the course. 
  • Transfer all the enrolled students from the general section to the newly created merged section. Ensure that there are no timing conflicts for these students.
  • Finally, cancel or drop the general section. Ensure that no merged sections are assigned to it.

 

To change the section type from "Merged" to "General":

  • Create a new general section for the course. 
  • Transfer all the enrolled students from the merged section to the newly created general section. Ensure that there are no timing conflicts for these students.
  • Finally, cancel or drop the merged section.
